The Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR B Recertification course is a Canadian Red Cross renewal course for participants who currently hold a valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR B certificate and need to renew it before expiry.

This in-person course refreshes essential First Aid, CPR and AED skills with a focus on emergencies involving children and babies.

Duration

8 hours in class

Prerequisite

Participants must provide proof of a current, valid Standard Child Care First Aid certification from an approved provincial or national provider. The certificate must not be expired.

Completion Requirements

Participants must:

• Attend and participate in 100% of the course

• Successfully demonstrate required First Aid and CPR skills

• Complete the required practical evaluations

• Achieve a minimum grade of 75% on the written knowledge evaluation

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants receive a renewed Canadian Red Cross Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR B certification, valid for 3 years.
